Aroma: angenehm lebendig, sanft, leicht erdig. Vanille und reife Aprikosen. Mit der Zeit mehr Erdigkeit, ein Hauch Lakritze, Eiche.

Geschmack: geschmeidig und komplex. Voll, reichhaltig und wieder Aprikosen. Getreide, Fudge, etwas Eiche.

Mit etwas Wasser zeigt diese Abfüllung verborgene Qualitäten. Die Aprikosennoten werden unterstrichen, weitere Fruchtaromen sowie schöne, floral-parfümige Noten werden "gelockt"

A recent cask strength limited bottling and a Rare Malts Edition have bought new attention to this classic distillery. All the pleasures of a good Speyside single malt are found in Mortlach floweriness, peatiness, smokiness, maltiness, and fruitiness along with a good sherry character in most bottlings. The distilling water comes from springs in the Conval Hills and seems to bring a powerful taste with it. The cooling water is from the River Dullan. Mortlach, the first legal distillery in Dufftown, traces its history to 1823 to 24. It is very attractive, despite having been modernized in 1903 and 1964. The whisky is an important element in the Johnnie Walker blends, along with Cardhu, Talisker, and many others.

Meiner Meinung einer der leckersten von dem
Faßfinish-Tasti ng (hab ihn ja auch mitgenommen...).
Runder Geschmack,leben dig,
trotz Sherry-Finish immernoch genug Rauch.
